Deputy Commissioner & Chairman DDMA, Wokha, Vineet Kumar, IAS has informed all concerned that, the incessant rainfall in the catchment area of Doyang River has led to the rise of water level at Doyang Reservoir and it is likely to be filed up to the Full Reservoir Level if the present trend of inflow continues. 

Under such circumstances, the radial gates of Doyang Dam will be opened to release the excess water in a controlled manner. During such exercise, the excess inflow will spill over and flow through the Doyang River downstream of Doyang Power House.

The public have been informed to stay away from the downstream of Doyang river and Foothill area by avoiding bathing, swimming, fishing, camping, on the riverside and any other activities during the period of opening of the radial gates.
