MLA, Dr. Neisatuo Mero hoisted the national flag, read out the Independence Day speech and took the Rashtriya Salute from seven contingents during the celebration of the 78th Independence Day held at Satakha town, ADC HQ on 15 August 2024. The parade contingent was led by ABSI, Katoho.

Special songs and cultural items were presented by various artists and inauguration of exhibition stalls by the Chief Guest were the other highlights of the program. The celebration concluded with the Beating of retreat by 111Bn BSF later in the evening.
