The 78th Independence Day was celebrated at Public Local Ground, Tamlu, Longleng with Advisor, Civil Administration Works Division &Taxes, Kudecho Khamo as the chief guest on 15th August 2024.

He unfurled the Indian National Flag, read out the Independent Day Speech and took Rashtriya salute from Parade Contingent consisting of VG Tamlu Hq. VG Tamlu Village, Christian School (2 contingen) and St. Thomas School Tamlu (2 contingent). Highlight of the day was Tug of War (Male and Female) ward wise and concluded with a Retreat from 6th NAP Tamlu.
