Along with the rest of the country, Independence Day was celebrated at the Local Ground, Tuli Sub-division, Mokokchung with Advisor for Law and justice and Land Revenue, T.N. Mannen, graced the occasion as the special guest on 15th of August 2024.

Mannen unfurled the National Flag upon his arrival and delivered the Independence Speech. The National Anthem was sung by students of Christian School, Tuli. The parade contingents were then inspected by the Advisor.  Altogether Eight contingents participated in the parade.

The celebration featured a cultural presentation by GHSS, Tuli, Drill display by DBHSS, Tuli, Dance by First Bloom School and Song presentation by the students of R.K School, Tuli. The program concluded with the traditional beating of retreat ceremony.
