At the invitation of the Ministry of Women & Child Development, Government of India, representatives of three Missions under the Social Welfare Department, Government of Nagaland, viz., Mission Shakti, Mission Vatsalya and Mission Saksham Anganwadi and Poshan 2.0 accompanied by their spouse and companion attended the 78th Independence Day Ceremony at Red Fort, Delhi on 15th of August 2024 as special guest.

The special guests under Mission Vatsalya: District Child Protection Unit were Ruzonuo Rita Rutsa, District Child Protection Officer (DCPO), Zunheboto and Kito Ayemi, Protection Officer, Institutional Care, Zunheboto. Under the Mission Shakti: Hub for Empowerment of Women; Moamenla Longkumer, District Mission Coordinator (DMC), District Hub for Empowerment of Women, Mokokchung and Nukshinaro, Gender Specialist, District Hub for Empowerment of Women, Mokokchung attended as the special guest. While under Mission Saksham Anganwadi and Poshan 2.0; Joyce Murry, Anganwadi Worker (AWW), Diphupar, BICDS, Dimapur, Rural Nagaland and Apele Chishi, Companion (Sister-in-law), Diphupar B also attended the programme as special guest.

It may be mentioned that on 14th August 2024, the Ministry of Women and Child Development, Government of India felicitated the DCPO Zunheboto, District Mission Coordinator, DHEW Mokokchung and AWW Dimapur Rural for their outstanding performance and achievements while working with their respective schemes at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi.
