Culmination programme of the State funded programme “Skill Training for Rural Women through Mobile Skill Morung”, organised by the Department of Employment, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship was conducted at Phomching headquarter on 17th August 2024.
The Programme was carefully designed and delivered through the Mobile Skill Morung with Special consideration of the unique accessibility challenges faced by women in the rural areas. The training primarily focused on empowering women with practical skills and marks a significant step towards promoting economic independence and self-reliance among the women.
All 25 Successful trainees were provided with a basic toolkit, including a sewing machine, electric iron, Scissor, measuring tape, French curve thimble and seam ripper to facilitate their transition from training to self-employment.
They also highlighted that till date the programme had trained 100 women in tailoring at Phomching, Zubza, Wozhuro, Suruhoto. They also informed that in the next phase another 100 women will receive training in baking.
