The Second Phase of "Skill Training for Rural Women through the Mobile Skill Morung" in Baking begins in Chozuba, Phek and Jakhama, Kohima.
The Department of Employment, Skill Development & Entrepreneurship launched the second phase of the "Skill Training for Rural Women through the Mobile Skill Morung" (MSM) initiative in Baking in two locations on the 19th August 2024: Chozuba and Jakhama.
This phase will train 50 women, with 25 participants at each location.
The training program was officially inaugurated in Jakhama by Savio Visa, Additional Director and in Chozuba by Diana Patton, ADC Chozuba in the presence of Zubemo Lotha Tsanglao, Joint Director of the Department (ESD&E).
Over the next two weeks, the beneficiaries will undergo comprehensive training in various baking techniques. Upon successful completion, each participant will receive the necessary baking toolkit to support their journey toward self-employment, empowering them to create sustainable livelihoods in their communities.
The MSM van is a skill on wheels providing training to this project and shall continue to be a crucial initiative in promoting skill development among the rural population.
