The ICAR Research Complex for NEH Region, Nagaland Centre, felicitated Yilobemo Erui, a dedicated farmer of ICAR-KVK Wokha, for setting a new world record in agriculture. Erui's outstanding achievement of growing the tallest coriander plant, measuring an impressive 2.77 meters (9 ft 1.06 in), was officially recorded on 25th April 2024, earning him a Guinness World Record. This remarkable accomplishment highlights Erui's commitment and innovation in farming and underscores the agricultural excellence found in Wokha, Nagaland.

The felicitation ceremony was held during the "Interactive Workshop for Promotion of Oilseeds in Nagaland" organized by ICAR Nagaland Centre at Medziphema on 23rd August 2024. Director of Agriculture, Government of Nagaland, C. Peter Yanthan graced the event alongside Dr. Girish Patil, Director of ICAR-National Research Centre on Mithun, Nagaland, and Dr. H. Kalita, Joint Director of ICAR, Nagaland Centre. Distinguished Scientists from ICAR-Indian Institute of Oilseeds Research (IIOR), Hyderabad, Dr. Sandeep Deshmukh, Senior Scientist & Head, ICAR-KVK, Wokha, and Anuranjan Singh, Skill Development Consultant & Project Manager, District Administration, Wokha and Shishoi Oshom, ETF- Cell also participated in the event.

Yilobemo Erui was presented with an Appreciation Certificate for his exceptional achievement, which showcases the potential for farm innovation in Nagaland. His success inspires other farmers and agricultural enthusiasts across the region, demonstrating the possibilities that can be achieved by integrating indigenous knowledge with modern scientific technology.
