The SDEO Bhandari organized the combined Teacher’s Day Celebration under Bhandari
sub-division on 5th of August 2024 at Public Ground, Bhandari.
Speaking as Special Guest, MLA & Chairman SDPDB Bhandari, Achumbemo Kikon
lauded the teachers for their pro-active role in shaping and moulding the children to be
resourceful individuals and to prepare them to be responsible leaders of the future.
He called on the teachers to live up to the noble profession and to take pride and honour for the
crucial role they play in shaping the society.
Achumbemo also encouraged both teachers and parents to understand that students, who
are consider stakeholders of the future, are facing rapid changes in all aspect of life including the
educational system.
Kikon asserted that to achieve our set goals in the field of education and to lead our
children to the path of success, teachers, students and parents, should work and strive
collectively.
He also emphasised on the need to motivate the students to think critically, to think
bigger and be inquisitive in these changing times when method of imparting education is seeing
a paradigm shift.
During the celebration, SDEO, Bhandari submitted a presentation to the special guest
requesting for repair work of the office building of the SDEO, Bhandari and construction of one
lodging house for teachers.
The representation also stated that a number of schools and office establishments under
Bhandari are under staffed and requested MLA Kikon for deployment of adequate number of
staff.
