The Longleng District Planning & Development Board (DPDB) meeting for the month of September was held under the chairmanship of Vice Chairman DPDB and Deputy Commissioner Longleng, W. Manpai Phom, NCS at DPDB hall, Longleng on 10th September 2024.
After the review of the previous meeting minutes, the board discussed the renovation of CHC Tamlu where CMO Longleng was asked to look into the matter. The members also took up proposals for grant-in-aid for Vision Vale School Longleng and Lamling Vesta School Yongam. Registration of Mankhum Society, Tamlu and Hope Society Yaongyimchen was also deliberated and the DC entrusted the concern administrative officers to verify the societies for recommendation.
Proposal received from the Phom People Council (PPC) for upgradation of EAC Yongnyah to SDO (Civil) and creation of Namching EAC Hq, was also taken up during the DPDB meeting where the DC instructed the area administrative officers to collect the old documents which will be discussed in the next DPDB meeting.
District Disaster Management Authority, Longleng proposed to the house for the requirement of SDRF personnel at Longleng. With regard to the road maintenance from Yongnyah to Dikhu, the house entrusted PWD to verify the spot and submit the report in the next DPDB meeting. The house also discussed the creation of a new RD Block under Yongnyah Hq.
DC Longleng, W. Manpai Phom informed the house that the board has prepared a questionnaire for all the departments in the district and requested the concerned heads of offices to fill and submit the collected data of the concerned department before 30th of September 2024. He also asked all the heads of offices to be in station and attend meetings.
The Medical Department presented their departmental activities through a PowerPoint presentation at the meeting. The Department of Water Resources has been entrusted to present their departmental activities in the next meeting.
New members of the DPDB Longleng, General manager DIC, Chikuotho Nyusou, Senior Supervisor, Social Welfare, Amos Khing and SDO, Water Resources, Er. Sangmo were introduced and welcomed during the meeting.
