One day Mega Legal Services Camp cum Training & Capacity Program was organized by the Longleng District Legal Services Authority in collaboration with Nagaland State Climate Change Cell, Nagaland Science and Technology Council and the Department of Science & Technology, Government of Nagaland at ADC office premises Tamlu Town, Longleng on 5th Octoer 2024.
Delivering the welcome address, CJM and Secretary LDLSA, Kumdilong Kessen, NJS stated that this is the first Mega Legal Service Camp in Tamlu Town where the various Government Departments have come together under one umbrella to provide services and benefits to the public and he also thanked the EAC Tamlu for being the major contributor towards the Mega Legal Services camp in rendering full cooperation and support. Delivering a short speech, EAC Tamlu, Mopling Phom enlightened the public on the importance to know legal rights and service available. He stated that the State and Central government provides different schemes, however many are not aware on how to avail. Phom therefore, encouraged the public visiting the stalls and avail the benefits of such schemes. Later the team from Nagaland State Climate Change Cell, Nagaland state Science& Technology council and the Department of Science& Technology Government of Nagaland took over the session addressing the Issues of Rising Temperature wherein the public positively participated the said training and Capacity program. The team also handed over the certificate to all the participants
Meanwhile, the representatives of various departments like Agriculture distributed seedlings and fertilizers. NST issued Free Bus Pass Forms for Senior Citizens and Disability. The Medical Department conducted free Hemoglobin A1C (HbA1c) test. Aadhaar correction & registration from Administration. Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Services distributed pamphlets and LDLSA provided free advice, counselling, affidavit declarations any kinds of legal assistance and PM-Kissan Updates. Through this Mega Legal Service Camp, over 100 beneficiaries were aided and benefitted. Women pastor Tamlu invoked the gathering and Panel Lawyer, P Monyei Phom chaired the sessions. She apprised the public on the services provided by LDLSA with some of the success story. PLVs Khatvang, Asangpongjei and Manau assisted the public during the camp.
