The Kiphire District Planning and Development Board ( DPDB ) meeting for the month of
November was held under the chairmanship of Advisor for Fire & Emergency Services, Home Guards, Civil Defence and Relief & Rehabilitation, Kiusumew Yimkhiung at DPDB Hall Kiphire on 12th November 2024.
In his speech, Advisor Kiusumew appealed for cooperation from various departments and Civil Societies of the District for smooth functioning of administration and all-round development of Kiphire District. Kiphire being an Aspirational district, he requested the Head of Offices in the district to be dutiful and also seek positive suggestions and sharing from all concerned for development. He stressed on the importance of attendance at the DPDB meetings and warned that officers who exhibit irregularities and consecutive absences would face disciplinary action.
Expressing appreciation to the Head of Offices who diligently and sincerely discharge their duties for the progress of Kiphire District, he said the good works will always be cherished. He also reminded the board regarding the visit of the Union Finance Minister and Governor of the state to Kiphire.
Deputy Commissioner Kiphire, Temsuwati Longkume, NCS also spoke and informed the officers and line departments to prepare for the coming of the Finance Minister and Governor in Kiphire and remind about the Bank inauguration by the Finance Minister at Longmatra.
The proposal for Construction of footsteps at GMS Longya Ward Kiphire Town, was recommended and forwarded to the concerned department for approval. The board also approved the constitution of the Officers’ Club, Kiphire after it was tabled by EE, PHED, Er. Akokba Sair.
Proposal for hosting of DPDB Meeting - Cum - Advent Christmas Celebration in the month of December was highlighted by the President USSC Kiphire, Sithrongba Sangtam and the house after thorough discussion agreed to the proposal.
EAC Takatemjen Pongen NCS, spoke on the theme: Invest to prevent violence against women & Girl child. District Child protection Officer, N. S. Khaikho also spoke on Consultative meet with key Stakeholders dealing with Welfare Care and Protection of Children. T. Tako Toshi Jamir Project Director DRDA, Tuensang and ADC Longdiba L Sangtam also spoke in the meeting.
DC reminded the LRSO Kiphire to survey the land site for Officers Colony, as many of the officials are staying in rented houses. All the officers were instructed to be at the Station.
