The monthly District Planning and Development Board meeting of Wokha was held on 27th Nov. 2024 at Deputy Commissioner’s Conference hall, Wokha under the chairmanship of MLA & Chairman DPDB, Y.M. Humtsoe. Advisor for Agriculture, Mhathung Yanthan also attended the meeting.

The meeting introduced the new members to the board followed by reviewing the last meeting minute. DC Wokha, Vineet Kumar requested all the departments having Government acquired land to apply for Land patta. Supplementing on this matter Advisor, M. Yanthan urged all Head of Offices in the district to make a proper survey and estimate those land which has not been compensated for further necessary action and onward submission to higher authority.

Advisor also appealed all line departments to come up with comprehensive plans and reports in regard to implementation of Gram Panchayat Development Plan, as this is one important toll for the development at the grassroots level.

The following agendas were discussed and approved for recommendation to government for consideration, setting up of three (3) Health Units (Sub-Centres) at Saron, Airfield and Suren colony under Wokha town.

Department of Veterinary and Industries presented a power point presentation about various schemes and projects implemented and undertaken by their respective departments in the district.

Commenting on the importance of attendance during the DPDB meeting, the DC said the DPDB is the highest decision making body in the district where he urged all officers to take this meeting seriously and attend the meeting regularly. He also appealed all departments to present a detail and comprehensive report about their departmental activities while presenting power point presentation.

The DC also requested the department of Land Resource and Fisheries to present their departmental activities through power point presentation in the next DPDB meeting (January 2025).
