The State Home Department in its daily report on COVID-19 lock down in the State informed that there was no violation of the lock down as on 8th June 2020. It also added that no law & order incident has been reported.

The report issued by the Joint Secretary, Hiazu Meru, also informed that on essential goods, shops for food grains & groceries and milk remain opened in all the districts of the State except Mokokchung. Shops for medicine also continue to remain opened in all the districts, the report added and maintained that there was no shortage of essential goods in the State.

Further, the report said that there was no imposition of restrictions on the movement of essential service providers like electricity/telecom facilities/medical facilities etc. The movement of personnel/workers in manufacturing units and also commercial vehicles for distribution of essential commodities and e-commerce agents were all carried out without any restrictions.

Suitable arrangements been made for providing food and shelter to migrant workers affected by the COVID-19 restrictions continue to remain the same. In this regard, there is 1(one) active relief/shelter camp and 2(two) food camps, one each in Kohima and Dimapur respectively where 124(one hundred and twenty four) persons were given food by the Government/NGOs.
