Additional Deputy Commissioner, Dimapur, Zakabo V. Rotoka convened a meeting on 16th January 2025 to finalize preparations for the upcoming Republic Day celebrations. The meeting was held at the DC Conference hall, Dimapur. The meeting was participated from heads of various government departments, representatives of public institutions, and other stakeholders.
During the meeting, detailed discussions were held regarding the arrangements for the Republic Day program, including seating arrangements, security protocols, cultural performances, and logistical support. The ADC emphasized the importance of inter-departmental coordination to ensure a seamless celebration of the event, which marks the adoption of the Indian Constitution.
The responsibilities for setting up the main venue, decorations, sound systems, and stage arrangements were distributed among the concerned departments. The ADC also reviewed the progress of the construction of welcome gates and rehearsals for cultural performances and parade contingents.
Special instructions were issued to law enforcement agencies to maintain strict security measures during the celebrations. Furthermore, contingency plans were discussed to address any unforeseen challenges on the day of the event.
The ADC expressed confidence that with collective effort, the Republic Day celebrations in Dimapur would be a grand success.
