LONGLENG:

The 15^th National Voters' Day was held at DPDB Hall, Longleng on 25^th January 2025 under the theme ‘Nothing like voting, I vote for sure’ with Deputy Commissioner & DEO Longleng, W. Manpai Phom as a special guest.

In his speech, Manpai Phom congratulated the best BLO awardees, and acknowledged the efforts rendered by the BLOs to have a clean and genuine electoral roll to conduct free and fair elections in the district. The DC also urged the young registered voters to be agents of change and set a good example by casting their vote fearlessly without being influenced by others. He also administered the voter's pledge to the gathering.

Additional Deputy Commissioner & ERO, A. Longdhimen Jamir delivered the keynote address, observing the day and appealed to the gathering to exercise their franchise to choose an efficient leader for change and development of the nation. He also spoke on negative aspects of democracy in India and urged the participants to uphold the democratic traditions of our country.

Best BLOs was awarded to B. Nyakyung Phom 50 A/C Longleng and H. Chingkam Phom 49 A/C Tamlu.

BLO, Nyakyung spoke on behalf of the BLOs of the district and encouraged the gathering to bring changes in society through the power of voting rights.

Best BLO Award was presented by DC, Longleng, and a special number was presented by Lichai Phom.

SHAMATOR:

District Election Office, Shamator celebrated 15^th National Voters’ Day with the theme 'Nothing like voting, I vote for sure' at DB's Court Shamator on 25^th January 2025 with Deputy Commissioner & DEO Shamator, Chubatemjen as the special guest.

During the programme, voter’s pledge was administered by Athrong, SDO (C), Shamator who also presented awards to the Best BLOs, winners of essay competition and distribution of EPIC to new voters.
