Vice Principal, Yingli College, Longleng Dr. B. Henshet Phom, graced the Me-Dam-Me-Phi, the traditional ritual festival of Tai Ahom people as the 'Specific Speaker'. It was organized by the Indigenous Peoples of Mung-Dua-Chun-Kan at Moran Botamora under Charai district of Assam on 31st January 2025.

 Dr. B. Henshet Phom asserted that politics and religion divide people but culture unites people. He also stressed on the importance of the North East Indian region, because it is the meeting place of the South Asian plain and the South East Asian hills. Dr. B.Henshet appreciated the Tai Ahom leaders for strengthening their ties with the Tai people from many East Asian and South East Asian countries, and also for actively participating in United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples (UNDRIP).
