The DC Kiphire, Temsuwati Longkumer graced the Inaugural program of the 3rd Inter - Departmental Sports Meet 2025 under the Theme "Unity in Service, Strength in Solidarity" Organised by the Officers' Club, Kiphire was held at 14th IRB Camp, Kiphire on 13th March 2025.
In his speech, the DC said such an event brings employees from different departments together, irrespective of their designation and create an atmosphere to interact in a casual setting. He also urged all the participants to take this opportunity to forge friendship in the event so that better coordination can be maintained between various departments for the betterment of the district.
Other highlights of the program included welcome address by DPO Kiphire, Lipichem and special number by Albert Jinger. Oath taking was administered by Nzanthung DFO, Kiphire, while invocation was pronounced by Khalila, women pastor of 14th NAP (IR).
The two days department group wise segregation for the Inter-Departmental Tournament 2025 were - Red Bull, Blue Zungki Warriors, Green Saramati Riders and Yellow Mountain Kings. The events will feature sports discipline such as: Badminton, Darts, Carom (Double), Tug of War and Football Penalty Shootout. The Deputy Commissioner declared the sports week open.
