The monthly meeting of Peren District Planning and Development Board was held in the conference hall of Deputy Commissioner, Peren on 7th April 2025. The Meeting was chaired by Hiazu Meru, Deputy Commissioner, Peren.

The meeting started with a welcome address by Deputy Commissioner and introduction of new members.

The Board reviewed the previous meeting minutes, where Hiazu Meru highlighted the members the reason for adoption of Government primary School New Peren citing that the intervention is necessity to yield positive results in nurturing the students and bring them up to compete with others. D.C also highlighted on Green Peren and deliberated for market survey and the need for effective marketing during the reason. The board also decided for inclusion of Zeliang Students Union Nagaland in the adoption of GPS new Peren as Co-opted Member.

The Board agreed and informed all the Government Departments to clear the vegetation area around their Offices and Quarters in order to protect and control wildfire. The DC also informed the board that Government will impose no work no pay in the district. The house also approved Registration of ARAM (ZBCC) Society and the Proposal for Commission of Town Council at Athibung town to the government for necessary action.

PowerPoint presentations were presented by the Principal Polytechnic and District Sports Officer, Peren, where they highlighted their activities initiated in the district.

Supplementing to the Sports Department, the district officers appealed to bring more sports activities in the district to give a platform to the talented youths to promote their livelihood through sports.
