The Chumoukedima Distict Planning & Development Board meeting was held under the chairmanship Advisor & DPDB chairman, Chumoukedima, Zhaleo Rio at DC’s Office Chumoukedima on 10th April 2025.

The meeting commenced with an introduction of the new members and reviewing the last DPDB meeting minutes. 

During the meeting, the chairman directs all the concerned department to gear up the level of preparedness ahead of the onset of monsoon and instructed the departments to be prepared to face monsoon- related emergencies in the district. He request the department of agriculture to give quality saplings and seedlings to the farmers and  make villages aware of the schemes, also bring notice to the elected representatives on their action plans, activities and target assistance.

Advisor, Industries & Commerce, Hekani Jakhalu in her address appealed the department to put their heads together and put up a proper plan, as many villages are still not aware of the schemes and activities. She said that if they failed to serve the public, than they are failing on their part as a government servant, as their core existence is to serve the public. On monsoon preparedness, she assured that on her part she will appeal the concern department to provide assistance to the affected family under the District Disaster Fund on time.

The house also discussed and deliberated on the following agendas and forwarded for approval to the Government- 

Up-gradation of Jehovah Jireh School, Videma Village; NST Service Station for Chumoukedima District; Recognition of Z. Rio Village; Recognition of Lokheto Village; Allotment of Land for establishment of Flatted Factory Complex at Medziphema Town; Proposal for Creation of GPS at Chumoukedima 'A' village;  Posting of ACP  in Medzhiphema, HQ. While agenda on the Change of Village Nomenclature of Sirhi Angami to Medziphema 'A' Village which have been deferred to the next meeting for further deliberations.

DDMA will present power point presentations on monsoon preparedness in the next DPDB meeting. The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks from the vice chairman, DPDB, Polan John.
