The Department of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources, Shamator organised a training on "Best Management Practice and Fresh Water Fish Farming" under the education training and extension programme and implemented by the department of Fisheries & Aquatic Resources, Government of Nagaland at Shamator on 10th April 2025, with Sajamo M Humtsoe, Fishery Inspector as the resource person.

Humtsoe spoke on the importance of proper management and planning while fish farming. He also encouraged the fish farmers to explore and practice composite fish culture and integrated fish farming.

During the training more than 100 beneficiaries participated.
