A farewell programme was held in honour of outgoing Resident Commissioner In-Charge, Nagaland House, New Delhi, Wennyei Konyak, at the Conference Hall, Nagaland House, 29 Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Road, New Delhi on 30th April 2025. Wennyei Konyak will now serve as the new Deputy Commissioner of Mon district.
Wennyei Konyak expressed his gratitude to the officers and staff of Nagaland House for cooperating with him in all the works. Addressing the representatives of various Naga Student Body and Union in Delhi, present during the farewell programme, Wennyei reminded them on the importance of working together and building a strong community bond. He said that each Naga living in Delhi is an Ambassador of the Nagas, and that people will know us either through our positive or negative contributions.
Kuolie Mere, Deputy Director, Information & Public Relations and Senior PRO, NH New Delhi, wishing the outgoing RC further success in his new assignment, lauded him for not only being a good administrator but also for being a great source of help to the Naga community living in Delhi.
President of Naga Students’ Union Delhi and Delhi Eastern Naga Students’ Union speaking during the occasion conveyed their gratitude to the outgoing RC for his support throughout the years. They thanked him for his patience, generosity and always being there for the Naga community not just in Delhi but also other cities in India.
During the occasion, Sharon Longchari the new Joint Resident Commissioner, Nagaland House New Delhi was also received, and one of Nagaland House staff, Manwar Singh Rawat, Dispatch Rider was honoured on his retirement.
