Farewell Programme in honour of outgoing Deputy Commissioner, Mokokchung, Thsuvisie Phoji was held on 7th May 2025 at the Conference Hall of Deputy Commissioner Office, Mokokchung.
Thsuvisie Phoji, in his farewell speech, thanked the people of Mokokchung for the support and affection shown to him during his stay in the district for almost three years. He thanked the officers of different departments, administrative officers, Police Department led by the Superintendent of Police, all civil society and institutions for all the love shown to him and guiding him in the right direction. He said if anything good has been done by him, it was just the reflection of the people and by God’s grace. He ask the people to give the same support and guidance to the incoming Deputy Commissioner saying that an individual cannot do much to bring about changes in the community but it needs team work and collective efforts if we are to go forward.
The incoming Deputy Commissioner, Mokokchung, Ajit Kumar Verma, IAS, in his short speech asked the people to consider him as a son of Mokokchung, saying that he started learning the administrative works from Mokokchung as a probationer. He said as a young officer he was still in his learning phase and needs support of all the officers, civil societies, and staff of his office. He encouraged the people to come forward with suggestions so as to move forward and achieve good things for the community. The incoming Deputy Commissioner assured that he would dedicate his time and knowledge for the welfare of the district.
Short speeches were delivered by President, Mokokchung District GB Association, Chairman Khensa Village Council on behalf of all the villages in the district, representative from the Ao Senden on behalf of Ao Civil Societies, Chairman MMC, PA to DC, Principal ITI on behalf of DPDB Mokokchung, ADC Mangkolemba on behalf of Admin Officers and Sr. SP Mokokchung. Farewell Tune was performed by Yimkum. ADC Headquarters, Mokokchung chaired the programme.
