A review meeting with Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) officials and the Chief Secretary of Nagaland, Dr J. Alam, IAS, was held in the context of the ongoing Nagaland Forest Management Project (NFMP-JICA) at the Chief Secretary Conference Room on 15th May 2025.
The meeting focused on reviewing the Nagaland Forest Management Project- Japan International Cooperation Agency (NFMP-JICA) project’s progress, addressing challenges, and ensuring its sustainable implementation across the State.
The meeting also addressed the challenges of maintaining the project's momentum in convergence with other departments and SHGs for better implementation of the project at the district level.
The JICA team, comprising Ishikawa Saya, representative of JICA and Sushma Sen Adarshi, Development specialist, apprised the Chief Secretary about the progress of the ongoing JICA projects and also highlighted the various challenges faced during implementation.
