The Deputy Commissioner Mon, Wennyei Konyak inaugurated the upgradation of M. Jon School, Tizit to M. Jon Higher Secondary School, Tizit on 21st May 2025.

DC while congratulating the School administration for the upgradation said that Tizit being the gateway to Mon district holds great potential for the establishment of colleges and universities in the future. With the encouragement and support from its citizens it can develop rapidly in all aspects and emerge as a prominent Town, he opined.

Short speeches were delivered by President, Konyak Union, K. Tingthok Konyak and President, Konyak Union Tizit Unit, T. Wangdun Konyak. 

Highlights of the function included presentation by Vice Chairman, MJHSS, Dr. Theanglih Konyak PT; motivational speech by Tingzing Konyak (alumni); message from alumni; Workshop Superintendent, Govt. Polytechnic Sedem, Tuensang, Er. Chinga B.E, and presentations by the school students. Vote of thanks was proposed by School Administrator, T. Atsahhan. 

The programme was also attended by, SP Mon, ADC Mon, DEO Mon, CO AR, ADC Tizit, SDPO Tizit and Civil Society Organisations.
