The department of Health & Family has stated that in pursuance of the administrative approval conveyed vide letter No. IIFW- 1I/B/50/NURSING/2024/238 dated 2nd April 2025, duly recognized Private Nursing/Allied & Healthcare Institutes shall be permitted to use Public Health Facilities for the purpose of Clinical Training of Students w.e.f. from Academic Year 2025-26, subject to the following terms & conditions:
1. Each Private Nursing/ Allied & Healthcare Institute in turn shall allocate 10% of the total annual intake capacity to the department for government quota.
2. Fees such as College or Tuition or management fees etc. to be paid by the students must be subsidised at a rate of 50%.
3. The department shall not be responsible to provide any resources for the Clinical training.
4. The private medical institute shall be responsible for fulfilment & compliance of the regulations of respective Councils- Indian Nursing Council, Indian Pharmacy Council, National Commission for Allied and Healthcare Profession, etc.
5. The department shall not be liable for omission or commission of negligence by the students and the private medical institute shall recover damage caused to any assets of the public health facilities by the students.
6. The private medical institute shall indemnify the public health facilities against any claims or damages arising from the students' actions or omissions.
7. The students shall not interfere with or disrupt the normal functioning of the public health facilities,
8. The students shall respect patient care activities and prioritize patient safety and confidentiality.
9. The students shall adhere to the rules, regulations, and protocols of the public health facilities.
10. The private medical institute shall ensure that students are supervised and guided by qualified faculty members during clinical training.
11. The department shall not be obligated for employment of the students.
12. The private medical institute shall be responsible to inform the department of any enhancement of Scats.
13. The Department or private medical institute reserves the right to cancel/ terminate the UNDERTAKING by issuing a I (one) month Notice.
Recognized Private Nursing/Allied & healthcare Institutes may submit the Application along with 2 (two) copies or UNDERTAKING in the prescribed format (enclosed herein as Annexure: I) printed in Rs. 100 (Rupees one hundred only) Non-Judicial Stamp Paper and support documents such as Registration Certificate of the Society/ Trust/ Incorporation/ Proprietorship; Approval/ Permission issued by the respective Council; Consent/ NOC for Affiliation issued by the respective University-' Board; Prospectus; Fee Structure etc., to the Principal Director, Directorate of Health & Family Welfare, Nagaland Kohima for allocation of a suitable Public Health Facilities conforming the requirements of respective Council for the purpose of Clinical Training of Students.
The application must be submitted through the concerned Medical Superintendent (in case of District Hospital) or Chief Medical Officer (in ease of Community Health Centre).
The concerned Private Nursing/Allied & Healthcare Institute shall be responsible to complete the Notarization process of the UNDERTAKING upon approval of the Application.
The permission is issued solely for the purpose of enabling the institute to utilize designated Public Health Facilities for Clinical Training, subject to compliance with the terms stated above and any future directives issued by the department.
