On 9th June 2025, Executive Engineer of the PHED (Urban), Neilhoukholie Chielie, has informed that the main water supply pipeline in the Forest Colony area, located below the road leading to Kohima Science College, has suffered significant damage with leakage inside a retaining wall.

According to the Division, the affected portion of the pipeline is substantial. Manual excavation has already been carried out to accurately locate the source of the damage. Restoration work is expected to be week-long.

Residents in the affected areas have been requested to bear with the inconvenience during this period. The Division assured that all efforts are being made to complete the repair work at the earliest possible time.
