Nagaland is participating in the ongoing Bharat Utsav – Festival of India, taking place from July 5 to 13, 2025, at Manezhnaya Square in Moscow, Russia. Organised by the Indian Embassy in Moscow with the support of the Moscow City Government, the festival celebrates India’s rich cultural heritage and growing entrepreneurial landscape on a global platform.

The Nagaland Delegation is expected to include high-ranking officials and dignitaries from Nagaland. Among those likely to attend are Chief Minister Dr. Neiphiu Rio, Advisor to the Chief Minister and Chairman IDAN, Abu Metha, and MLA and Advisor for Industries & Commerce, Hekani Jakhalu, along with officials from other state departments. Their presence is anticipated to further enhance the State’s engagements at the international level.

The Department of Industries & Commerce, Government of Nagaland, is coordinating the State’s participation at the festival. Director, Industries & Commerce, P. Tokugha Sema, along with his other senior officials, is part of the official delegation accompanying a group of selected entrepreneurs. Under the Department’s coordination, a dedicated Nagaland stall has been set up at the festival venue, showcasing a curated selection of local crafts, indigenous products, and enterprise-led innovations that reflect the dynamic and evolving entrepreneurial landscape of Nagaland.

Alongside the enterprise showcase, a cultural troupe from Nagaland deputed through the Task Force for Music & Arts (TaFMA) is presenting traditional folk music and dance performances. These cultural presentations have drawn widespread interest and appreciation from festival-goers and have added vibrancy to the State’s presence.

The response to Nagaland’s participation in Bharat Utsav has been highly encouraging. The Nagaland stall and cultural segments have attracted significant attention, reinforcing interest in the State’s unique identity and its emerging presence in global conversations around culture and entrepreneurship. The initiative reflects the Department’s ongoing efforts to promote Nagaland’s local industries, startups, and creative sectors through international exposure and collaboration.
