To assess the current flood situation, Advisor for New & Renewable Energy, NSDMA, Z. Nyusietho Nyuthe along with Chief Secretary Nagaland, Dr. J Alam, IAS and the District Administration conducted a tour programme at Medziphema sub-division on 9th July 2025.
The Chief Secretary inspected the affected areas at Piphema-Tsiepama boundary and Kukidolong area and assessed the damage caused by the incessant rain leading to mudslide and landslide. He also interacted with the contractors and briefed them on how to tackle the situation.
The Chief Secretary was accompanied by Additional Secretary, Transport & NSDMA, Sentiwapang Aier, DC Chumukedima, Polen John, DCP Chumukedima, Nikho Venuh and ADC Medziphema, James Swu.
