In view of the large number of returnees from outside the state having completed their facility quarantine period within the district and following the SOPs, being sent for community/home quarantine to their respective villages/wards and considering that many frontline workers have been engaged in managing the returnees, it is deemed necessary to take stringent precautions to prevent any unlikely incident that may result in local or community transmission.
Therefore, in order to ensure that the COVID-19 pandemic is successfully contained and does not pose unnecessary risk to public health and safety of the citizens of Peren, Deputy Commissioner of Peren, SentiwapangAier, NCS has issued an order on 27th June, 2020 stating a Total Lockdown is hereby imposed for the whole of Peren District from 30th June, 2020 to 5th July, 2020, whereby all under mentioned activities shall remain strictly prohibited. In effect, only the exempted categories related to COVID-19 services such as medical, police, administration, all frontline workers involved in COVID-19 duty and those involved in farming activities and people on medical emergencies shall be allowed movement with necessary permit. Only pharmacies will be allowed to open. However, all safety measures such as compulsory use of face mask, frequent hand washing/use of hand sanitizer and maintenance of social distancing shall be strictly adhered to while carrying out COVID-19 duties.
PROHIBITED ACTIVITIES:
- Movement of public shall be strictly prohibited.
- Movement of private vehicles is banned.
- All business/shops and trade activities shall remain closed.
- All social/political/religious gathering and functions is prohibited.
- Not more than 20 persons will be permitted in case of funerals.
- Spitting in public places is strictly banned, violation of which shall be punishable with fine.
