Chief Minister Dr. Neiphiu Rio, accompanied by Deputy Chief Ministers T.R. Zeliang and Y. Patton, Advisor Er. Kropol Vitsu, and MLA Kevipodi Sophie, visited the landslide-affected stretch of National Highway-2 near Phesama village on 22nd July 2025.
Expressing serious concern over the recurring landslides in the area, the Chief Minister directed officials from the National Highways and Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (NHIDCL) to work out a permanent solution rather than relying on temporary repairs. He specifically recommended the construction of a Cement Concrete (CC) bridge in the affected zone to ensure long-term stability and connectivity.
