A five days training on Basic Office Procedures commenced at Administrative Training Institute (ATI) Kohima for 6 (Six) Nagaland Police Service (P) Officers on 22nd August 2025, which will culminate on 26th August 2025.
The aim of the Training is to equip the NPS (P) trainees with fundamental knowledge and skills to perform their tasks efficiently in their work environment. The topics include- File Management, Noting & Drafting, National Pension System, Nagaland Government Servants’ Conduct Rules 1968, Pay fixation etc.
The training course was coordinated by Dr. S. Rongsen Longkumer, Joint Director, ATI and the training sessions will be facilitated by various experienced resource persons from different Departments of the Nagaland Government.
On the first day of the training inauguration program, V Shashank Shekhar, IAS, Director General, ATI interacted with the trainee NPS (P) Officers and had an introductory session with them. He mentioned that Nagaland Police has a proud tradition of dedication, commitment and hard work. They have performed exceptionally well, not only within the State but also when deployed in other States for various duties. He also mentioned protecting the younger generation from substance abuse. He suggested to the officer trainees to utilise both awareness creation and enforcement while addressing this issue. He also asked them to remain updated with the latest scientific knowledge and technology for investigative work.
The interactive session was also attended by N. Moa Longkumer, Joint Director ATI and Lithrila Sangtam, Under Secretary, P&AR department.
