Gregory Thejawelie NCS, Deputy Commissioner Kohima has informed that in view of some frontline workers being tested positive for Covid-19 infection in Kohima, a mass preventive testing for Covid-19 infection for all the Persons/Workers involved in “Bethel Kitchen” Kohima was carried out compulsorily, and all the results turned out to be COVID NEGATIVE. However, as per the guidelines on preventive measures to contain the spread of COVID-19 in workplace settings issued by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Directorate General of Health Services (EMR Division), Govt. Of India, dated 18th May 2020, the Bethel Kitchen was temporarily closed/shut for 48 (Forty Eight) hours and fumigated following all health Safety measures and SOPs of the Government.
Therefore, it is hereby notified that Bethel Kitchen shall henceforth be functional/operational w.e.f 4th July 2020 in the same location as usual with utmost precaution and safety measures. Further, all the workers/persons involved in the Bethel Kitchen Kohima are advised to follow all safety precautions of wearing masks all the time, frequently washing hands and maintain social/physical distances to ensure public hygiene and personal safety.
