The Seventh Session of the 14th Nagaland Legislative Assembly commenced at the Nagaland Legislative Assembly Secretariat, Kohima on September 2, 2025. On the occasion, a handbook titled “A Guide to Better Health” was officially launched by the Chief Minister, Dr. Neiphiu Rio, accompanied by the Speaker NLA, Sharingain Longkumer and Advisor to the Chief Minister & Chairman of IDAN, Abu Metha, after which the book was formally laid and announced in the House by the Speaker of the NLA.
The handbook seeks to provide valuable guidance on preventive healthcare and better lifestyle practices, addressing the growing concerns of lifestyle diseases in the state. The initiative is part of the government’s broader efforts to promote public health and encourage healthy living among the citizens of Nagaland, particularly the legislatures and officers of the state. This handbook was prepared in collaboration with the Nagaland Legislative Assembly, Investment & Development Authority of Nagaland (IDAN), Department of Youth Resources & Sports and Medanta Group of Hospitals.
