The District Administration Niuland and District Hub for Empowerment of Women (DHEW) organised a crucial awareness session on women's safety at the workplace as part of the ongoing 10-day special awareness campaign under the Sankalp initiative on 6th September 2025 at the DC Conference Hall, Niuland.
The session brought together individuals from various backgrounds to discuss and learn about promoting a safe and respectful work environment.
Resource Person, EAC Kelengunuo Solo delivered an informative and engaging talk on the theme, emphasising the importance of women's safety and dignity in the workplace. She highlighted key aspects of the Prevention of Sexual Harassment (POSH) Act 2013 and the Sexual Harassment Electronic Box (SHE Box) portal, educating the gathering on their rights and available resources.
The session aimed to empower women with knowledge and confidence to recognise and address workplace harassment, fostering a culture of respect and inclusivity. The District Administration Niuland and DHEW reiterated their commitment to promoting women's empowerment and safety through initiatives like Sankalp.
