The Directorate of Youth Resources & Sports, in collaboration with the NSS Wing, Yingli College, Longleng, organized a District-level Youth Festival 2025 on 13th September 2025, at Borgohain hall, Yingli College Longleng and featured competitions in Declamation, Folk Song, and Folk Dance.
Participating Institutions included Bautung Govt. Hr. Secondary School, Longleng, Orangkong Village Students Union and Yingli College, Longleng.
1. Winners of Declamation were Chuthai L Phom (Yingli College) and Denten Phom (Bautung Govt. Hr. Secondary School) in the first and second place respectively.
2. Winners of Folk Song were Yingli College 5th Semester Students and Orangkong Village Youth in the first and second place respectively.
3. Winners of Folk Dance were Bautung Govt. Hr. Secondary School, Longleng and Yingli College, Longleng in the first and second respectively.
During the programme Vice Principal, Dr. B. Henshet Phom delivered the welcome address while the vote of thanks was delivered by Assistant Professor, Department of Sociology, Dhapne Chungphang. The programme was chaired by Assistant Professor, Department of Sociology, Kiriahungle Haihing.
Including NSS volunteers, a number of 116 participated in the competition.
The festival showcased the talents of local youth and fostered cultural exchange among participating institutions.
