The Department of Social Welfare ICDS project Meluri, organised the launching programme of Poshan Maah held at Meluri Village Council Hall on 18th September 2025.
Special guest, Deputy Commissioner, Meluri, Mhathung Tsanglao, NCS, emphasized the crucial role of updating the facial recognition system (FRS) and encouraged everyone to collaboratively work as to uplift the District in every way. He also said, the importance of community participation, asserting that, collectively efforts and engagement from the convergence department are vital for the successful implementation of Initiative aimed at fostering growth and development in the district.
MO CHC Meluri, Dr. Kelelo Pradia, stressed on obesity by reducing sugar and oil consumption. He stated that, a balanced diet is important, in order to have a good immune system and a healthy body.
Sr. Supervisor, Watsüsie delivered a welcome address and CDPO i/c. DPO Meluri, Thorhosie Kajiri delivered key note address of this year's themes, Poshan Bhi Padhai Bhi and infant and young Child Feeding (IYCF) Practices.
Supervisor, Abigail Ritse, pronounced the vote of thanks. The programme was chaired by Poshan Block Coordinator, Kuhuvelu Chotso, where she also led the Poshan Pledge. The Launching programme was attended by Anganwadi workers, Anganwadi helpers, Creche workers and Public leaders under Meluri District.
