The District Health Society, Longleng, conducted the Swasth Nari Sashakt Parivar Abhiyan (SNSPA) Health Camps at PHC Buranamsang on 25th September 2025 and at Tamlu CHC on 26th September 2025.
The health camps were organized with the objective of promoting the health and well-being of women and strengthening family health through early detection, awareness, and preventive healthcare measures. Medical Officers, Staff Nurses, ASHAs, and Community Health Workers actively participated, ensuring a wide range of health services were accessible to the villagers.
Services provided during the camps included: General health check-ups, Maternal and child health consultations, Screening for non-communicable diseases, Counseling sessions/FGDs and Distribution of essential medicines
In addition, awareness sessions on nutrition, hygiene, and women’s health were conducted to encourage healthy practices at the community level. Specialized departments such as Dental, Ophthalmology, Medicine, Dermatology, and Gynaecology also extended their services.
The initiative witnessed enthusiastic participation from the local community, especially women and children, who benefitted greatly from the services and awareness activities. The program reinforced the importance of collective responsibility in building healthier families and empowered communities.
A total number of 164 beneficiaries participated in PHC Buranamsang and 249 at CHC Tamlu.
