The inaugural programme of the 4th edition of Autumn Festival, a prelude to the 26th Hornbill Festival, Nagaland began with much fervour with guests and visitors thronging the lawns of Nagaland House to celebrate and experience the rich culture of Nagaland. The Festival is organised by the Tourism Department, Government of Nagaland in collaboration with the Principal Resident Commissioner’s Office Nagaland House, New Delhi supported by the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India on 24th and 25th October 2025 at Nagaland House, 29 – Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam Road, New Delhi.
Kapil Mishra, Minister for Tourism, Art and Culture, Government of NCT Delhi was the chief guest for the inaugural programme with Chavanart Thangsumphant, Ambassador of Thailand in India as the Honored Guest. Dr. Jitendra Singh, Union Minister of State for Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions of India also graced the inaugural function.
Addressing the gathering, Kapil Mishra said that the relationship between Delhi and Nagaland are like brothers, and expressed a desire to organise an annual festival celebrating the culture of Nagaland along with Delhi Tourism in future.
Temjen Imna Along, Minister of Tourism and Higher Education, Government of Nagaland who was the Chief Host invited all to visit the State and experience the unique culture of the Nagas.
Earlier during a press interaction, Minister Temjen Imna Along invited the media to come and experience the rich culture and heritage of the State during the Hornbill Festival, saying that the Festival is not just a tribal festival but a unique festival. He added that getting an Inner Line Permit is not an obstacle anymore, as one can easily access it online nowadays.
Abu Metha, Adviser to the Chief Minister and Chairman IDAN, who was the co-host and Arenla Jamir, Commissioner Secretary, Tourism Department also addressed the gathering. Naga artists such as Tiatemsu & Kiki, Colored Keys, The Eastory Project, The Mahila Band from India’s Got Talent fame enthralled the guests with lively performances.
The Autumn Festival, which is in its 4th edition this year has over the years received positive and enthusiastic response from guests and visitors, and has also helped in generating interests among those who have only heard of but never been to the Hornbill Festival and Nagaland.
