A District Level Core Committee meeting on the upcoming Sardar@150 Unity Rally was convened at DB’s Hall, Shamator on 30th October 2025. The meeting was chaired by Deputy Commissioner, Shamator, Chubatemjen, NCS, and attended by the Superintendent of Police, Shamator, all Heads of Offices, and representatives from the Yimkhiung Tribal Council, Tikhir Tribal Council, Shamator Town Public Forum, Shamator Students’ Union, SEWA, and other dignitaries.

            The year 2025 marks the 150th Birth Anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the Iron Man of India and the chief architect of national integration. Patel’s remarkable statesmanship, diplomatic acumen, and unwavering commitment to national unity laid the foundation for a united Bharat.

            To commemorate this historic occasion, the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India, is organizing Sardar@150 celebrations across the country. As part of this initiative, the Unity Rally at Shamator Town will be held on 8th November 2025 (Saturday), covering the route from Police Point to NAP Gate.

            In the run-up to the rally, a series of pre-event activities focusing on the life and legacy of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel will be conducted at schools and public venues from 3rd November 2025 onwards. These will include essay and debate competitions, talks on Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, poster making, cleanliness drives, yoga and wellness sessions, and cultural programs aimed at spreading awareness and inspiring unity among citizens.
