In Mokokchung Town, the Ao Senden organised a solemn condolence programme on 12th November 2025 at the main Police Point to pay the last homage to Late Imkong L Imchen, Advisor for Information and Public Relations and Soil and water conservation who passed away on November 11 2025.

            The gathering brought together several prominent organisations including the Ao Kaketshir Mungdang (AKM), Watsup Mungdang and the All Wards Union of Mokokchung.

            Representatives from each organisation paid rich tributes to Late Imkong L Imchen recounting his many roles as a public servant, legislature and community leader. Speakers highlighted his enduring influences on social and political development of the Ao community and the state at large.

            The final rites for the departed leader were held on November 13 2025 in his native village Mangmetong. The funeral ceremony saw the attendance of state legislators, senior government officials, party workers, village elders, community leaders and well-wishers from across Nagaland

            During the service speakers reflected on Late Imkong L Imchen's long and distinguished public leader describing him as a principled and visionary leader who dedicated his life to the welfare of the people, his contributions to governance, public policy and rural development were particularly acknowledged
