The Administrative Training Institute conducted the inaugural program for the foundation courses of the Nagaland Civil Service (NCS) (Probationers) and Block Development Officers (BDO) Batch of 2025 on 17th November 2025 at ATI, Kohima. There were 10 NCS and 14 BDO Officer Trainees who had come through the recently conducted NPSC CSE, (Nagaland Public Service Commission Civil Services Examination). After the completion of the combined induction, the NCS (Probationers) 2025 Batch will continue with the one-year Foundation Course.

            The special address was given by V. Shashank Shekhar, IAS, Director General, ATI, Additional Chief Secretary (Agriculture) and Agricultural Production Commissioner.

            In his address, he stated that the camaraderie forged during the joint induction training program will last for a lifetime. He congratulated the Officer Trainees on their success and encouraged them that having come through a transparent, fair, and competitive recruitment process, they should continue the tradition of integrity, transparency, and fairness in their work. And that they should remain true and alive to their conscience at all times.

            He also stated that the Government system's core function is to work for the common people and that by contributing to society they will find happiness in their life. In his concluding remarks, he emphasized that we should listen to people and listen to them with empathy.

            The program was chaired by Asalie Lese, NCS, Deputy Secretary to the Govt, of Nagaland. The round of self introduction was given by the Officer Trainees and the overview of the Course was given by Dr. A. Alem W. Longchar. The program was also attended by the Officers of ATI and the NCS Probationers 2024 Batch who are completing their training soon.
