The monthly meeting of Zunheboto District Planning and Development Board for the month of July was held on 16 July 2020 at DC conference hall. The meeting was chaired by Deputy Commissioner and Vice chairman DPDB, Peter Lichamo. Deputy Commissioner welcomed the new chairman of Zunheboto District planning and development board and Advisor School Education K.T. Sukhalu and Advisor for Food and civil supplies and LM & CP Pukhayi Sumi including new members to the board. The meeting was conducted following strict Standard operating procedures.

The agenda discussed included various proposals that have been put up seeking financial assistance from common pool where the chairman read out the proposals and all the members agreed with the proposals. Proposal for purchase of land for town cemetery amounting to 30 lacs was discussed and finalized that the legislatures under Zunheboto district will write a common application to the Chief Minister.

Chairman and Advisor, School Education, K.T. Sukhalu requested the NSDMA to be more active as during monsoon and urged them to take photos and forward it to the government as soon as possible. He also directed all the heads of departments to be present in their station and serve the people sincerely, he also added that since the government is giving salary it is their duty to ensure that they deliver their service to the people. He further added that henceforth office checking will be carried out every now and then by administration, students bodies, party leaders and so asked the HODs to be sincere in their work. He also lamented on the lack of communication between the bureaucrats and politicians and requested the HODs to communicate with the concern legislatures regarding new schemes/ projects or already implemented schemes as the concern legislatures are the people's leader and he knows the plights and grievances of his people.

Advisor Pukhayi Sumi who was also present at the meeting highlighted on the various do's and don'ts during this pandemic and asked the people to be very careful. Both the Advisors thanked the DC, administration, police, churches, various NGOs, medical staffs and all the frontline workers who have been working tirelessly for the safety of the people. 

Deputy Commissioner further acknowledged the Advisors for their ample contribution towards the fight against covid19.
