The Kiphire District Planning & Development Board meeting cum Advent Christmas was held on 12th December 2025 at Zungki River, below Phuvkiu Village shortcut footbridge, under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Kiphire, Temsuwati Longkumer.
The Deputy Commissioner extended warm Christmas greetings to all the Board members present and expressed his appreciation to all the departments for their valuable contribution towards the successful conduct of Government’s programs and activities in the district.
The meeting also featured felicitation program for the District’s Official Logo Design Competition, where Sheshak Yimchunger was declared winner of the Kiphire District Official Logo Design Competition held on 6th December 2025 organized by the District Administration. A cash prize of Rs.500/- along with citation certificate was handed over to the winner by the Deputy Commissioner, Temsuwati Longkumer.
EAC Kiphire, Takatemjen Pongen highlighted and explained in detail the salient features of the winning Logo Design, which incorporates key symbols representing the district identity as the "Land of Minerals" and it's natural and cultural symbolism, including Mount Saramati, Hoolock Gibbons and rivers of Kiphire.
The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by ADC Kiphire, Longdiba L Sangtam. This was followed by Advent Christmas celebration program chaired by Nzanthung Yanthan DFO (Fisheries), Kiphire.
