Shamator along with the rest of the country celebrated the 77th Republic Day with S. Toiho MLA and Deputy Speaker, Nagaland Legislative Assembly (NLA) as the Special Guest.
The Chief Guest unfurled the National flag, took the Rashtriya Salute and delivered the Republic Day address.
The Parade contingents included DEF Shamator; Shamator Battalion; Assam Rifles; Village Guards Shamator Hq.; GHSS Shamator; St. Xavier Hr. Secondary; Christian High School Shamator and NCC Shamator College.
The program also witnessed special items presented by The Quiet Kids, Groot Brothers and Shamator Taekwondo Association followed by colourful cultural presentation from Wongphong Peilo Areihlu, Mongtsüwong Cultural Society and Eastern Sumi cultural troupe. The program was compared by Metesoune and Sotsula K. Yimchunger.
The Chief Guest also inaugurated the exhibition stalls set up by various government departments
