In Kiphire, 77th Republic Day was celebrated at Local Ground, Kiphire on 26th January 2026 with MLA & Advisor, Social Welfare, Government of Nagaland, Wangpang Konyak as the Special Guest, who unfurled the national flag, delivered the Republic Day speech, took Rashtriya Salute and inspected the Parade contingents.
The parade was reviewed by Superintendent of Police, Kiphire Chinese Chakhesang NPS. March past was led by Parade Commander Assistant Commander Imlisunep, NPS 8th NAP & SDPO(Ex - Officio) Pungro, and Second-in-Command ABI Daniel Ao 14th NAP (IR). Eight parade Contingents took part in the ceremonial parade including 30th Assam Rifles Kiphire, DEF Kiphire,14th NAP (IR) Kiphire, Village Guard Kiphire village, NCC, Zisaji Presidency Government College, Bharat Scouts & Guides, Pipe Band,30th Assam Rifles and Parade BHM Kiphire.
Konyak also inaugurated and inspected the exhibition stalls set up by various government department of the District.
Other highlights of the programme were Cultural presentation from Kiphire village Cultural Troupe and Hilly Troupe of Zisaji Presidency College Kiphire (ZPC). Special presentation by Tsasupa, KDDA and Rozehli L Sangtam.
Volleyball exhibition match was played between Six Star Club and Young Stage Club, United Fables Club and Kiphire Village United Sporting Club. Beating of retreat was presented by DEF, Kiphire.
The comperes of the program were Chamdiba Sangtam, Asst.Proffessor, ZPC and Yihingle Ndang, Asst. Professor ZPC.
