The biography of late Imnüksüngba, titled “Shisa Jen”, was formally launched on 27th January 2026 at the residence of Rev. I. Bendangmeren Longkumer in Dimapur. The book is authored by Dr. C. Furkumzuk of Longkhum Village and is written in Ao (MIL).
Imnüksüngba (1909–1994), a native of Longkhum Village in Mokokchung District, lived through some of the most turbulent periods in Naga history, including the British colonial era, the Second World War, and the most challenging phase of the Naga movement. A man ahead of his time, he made significant contributions toward the welfare of society and the community.
The biography captures his life in concise, youth-friendly chapters, offering meaningful lessons and reflections intended to inspire the younger generation.
The book was formally launched by Rev. Dr. L. Kari Longchar, former Executive Secretary of the Ao Baptist Arogo Mungdang (ABAM) and former Director of Peace Affairs, Nagaland Baptist Church Council (NBCC). A highly respected senior citizen among the Nagas, Rev. Dr. Longchar is widely known for his leadership in church reforms and his lifelong efforts to combat social evils. The programme was held in the presence of invited guests and family members.
