The Office of the Deputy Commissioner, Chumoukedima, has informed that a Mahila Jan Sunwai (Public Hearing) will be held on March 11, 2026 at 10:00 AM at DC’s Conference Hall, Chumoukedima.
    The public hearing is being organised in pursuance of a directive received from the Nagaland State Commission for Women, Kohima. The programme will be chaired by Kekhrienuo Meyase, Member of the Commission.
    Mahila Jan Sunwai is a nationwide district-level public hearing initiative organised by the National Commission for Women to provide a direct and accessible platform for women to report grievances such as domestic violence, harassment and trafficking.
    During the hearing, authorities will address pending complaints and also accept walk-in complaints from women seeking assistance or intervention.
    The district administration has encouraged women facing such issues to attend the hearing and make use of the opportunity to present their grievances before the Commission.
