Kiphire District Administration organised a Monsoon Preparedness meeting with all heads of offices on 16th April 2026, at DPDB hall, Kiphire. The meeting was chaired by Deputy Commissioner Kiphire, Temsuwati Longkumer.
Addressing the members, the DC stressed on the need for advanced monsoon preparedness for Kiphire district directing all key departmental heads to assess the ground situation and update their preparedness status before the monsoon begins.
Department of Food & Civil Supply, Power, Medical, PHED inquired on advance ration stocks for cut out areas, power back up supply and line maintenance, stocks of position of medicine consignment, drinking water supply and restoration plans as per their respective duties.
PWD and National highway department have been directed to keep all the roads intact, ensure blockades and submit compliance reports before the monsoon. Agri. and Allied departments have been instructed to ensure availability of paddy seeds for farmers before monsoon.
The meeting ended with a vote of thanks from the chair.
