A three-day Pre-Monsoon Outreach Tour was conducted in Thsotoku Circle under the “Governance to Your Doorstep” begins on 16th April 2026. The initiative was led by EAC Shamator, Mekato J Aye, who also holds additional charge of Thsotoku Circle. The programme was carried out in collaboration with the Department of Social Welfare headed by Thsanthong, District Coordinator, along with Aadhaar operators, officials from DHEW, and the Community Health Centre.

A major highlight of the tour was the Mini Marathon held at Thsotoku for school students from four schools, which saw participation of over 150 students. The event featured four categories each for boys and girls.

Addressing the gathering, the EAC highlighted that the objective of the event was to encourage student enrolment in schools, motivate them to work hard and find purpose, develop an appreciation for their surroundings, and build the spirit of sportsmanship in the race of life.

The outreach also included awareness programmes and enrolment drives for PMMVY and Self-Help Groups (SHGs) for women, conducted at church premises in collaboration with officials from DHEW. Aadhaar enrolment and other essential documentation services were provided in camp mode to facilitate ease of access for the public.

During the tour, the team also visited other villages under the circle and interacted with students and community members. All programmes witnessed a significant turnout, reflecting active community participation.

The initiative aimed at strengthening last-mile service delivery while promoting awareness, inclusion, and community engagement across the region.
